This Warranty Policy explains the limited warranty coverage applicable to products purchased directly from Nordalight and the procedure for requesting warranty service. By purchasing from this website, you agree to the terms stated below.
1. Limited Warranty Coverage
The standard warranty period for products sold on this website is one (1) year from the delivery date unless a different warranty term is explicitly stated on the individual product page at the time of purchase. The warranty term stated in this policy and on the applicable product page controls in the event of any conflicting marketing or promotional descriptions.
During the applicable warranty period, Nordalight will, at its discretion, repair the product, provide replacement parts, or replace the product with the same or a comparable model of equal value, subject to availability.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
2. Manufacturer Warranties
Certain products may include a separate warranty provided by the original manufacturer. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, those terms control the coverage provided. Nordalight may assist with claim coordination but does not control or guarantee manufacturer warranty decisions.
3. What This Warranty Covers
This limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation. Covered defects include verified manufacturing faults and electrical component failures that prevent normal intended operation.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, consumable components such as bulbs or batteries unless expressly stated, cosmetic variations, or damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, unauthorized modification, or unauthorized repair. Damage caused by voltage fluctuations, power surges, electrical faults, environmental exposure, moisture, corrosion, or installation in unsuitable locations is excluded. Labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, and freight costs are not covered.
5. Outdoor and Environmental Use
Products must be installed and used only in environments for which they are rated. Indoor-only products installed outdoors or in semi-outdoor environments are not covered. Outdoor finishes and coatings are subject to natural weathering and are not covered unless explicitly stated on the product page.
6. Warranty Void Conditions
This warranty is void if the product has been altered, modified, improperly installed, used outside its intended purpose, installed in commercial or non-residential settings unless expressly approved in product specifications, relocated after installation, or if valid proof of purchase cannot be provided.
7. How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period by contacting info@nordalight.com. Claims must include the order number or valid proof of purchase, a clear description of the issue, and supporting photos or videos showing the defect. Incomplete submissions may delay review.
8. Resolution Timeline
Approved warranty claims are typically reviewed and resolved within 5–10 business days. Resolution time may vary based on product availability and shipping requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nordalight’s liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. Nordalight is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including loss of use, property damage, or installation costs. Some jurisdictions, including California, do not allow certain damage limitations, so parts of this limitation may not apply.
10. Legal Rights Notice
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Governing Law
This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
